My mission is to empower women in the financial planning profession from the perspective of advising women clients, giving them the courage to understand and make extremely important financial decisions for their families, as well as mentoring the next generation of women advisors.
My mom always said I played “banker” with my stuffed animals at a very early age. I loved to allocate money and save, save, save! My high school English teacher introduced me to the stock market and investing, and it immediately caught my attention. I studied at Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated with a degree in Economics with a Management Concentration. I sold life insurance after I graduated from college, and soon after decided “selling” financial products was not for me. I was hired at an entry level position at Budros, Ruhlin & Roe and worked my way to the top without ever looking back. As I reflect on the past 16 years in the business, I realize how fortunate I have been to be able to work with and advise wonderful families and really make a difference in their lives. I repeatedly hear from clients that they’ve instructed their loved ones to, “Call Amy immediately, if anything ever happens to us.” I feel blessed and humbled that I am on their team of trusted financial advisors.
I am excited to be the co-founder of our women’s initiative, BRR 4 Women, here at Budros, Ruhlin & Roe, and am a CFP® Women’s Initiative (WIN) Advocate. We look forward to bringing more awareness of our profession to the public and empowering our current female professionals. We have come a long way, but still have a long way to go, to increase the number of female CFP® professionals.
In my free time, I enjoy all of my children’s various activities and am usually training with my labradoodle for my next half marathon race!
